We’re delighted to announce that the lawyer, businesswoman, former Cabinet Minister and campaigner,
Sayeeda Warsi, has become Patron of Clean Up Britain.

She is only the second Patron of Clean Up Britain, succeeding Jeremy Paxman, the renowned broadcaster,
who had to stand-down because of ill health.

John Read, Founder-MD of Clean Up Britain, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to have Baroness Warsi join our team. She’s a person with a huge level
of political expertise and experience, which will be very helpful in convincing the government to act
against Britain’s litter louts and improve the way waste is cleaned up by local authorities. There is huge
scope for improvement in a system that is currently dysfunctional. Sayeeda will be working as part of our
team to help the government clean up Britain, permanently. Millions of people will give them enormous
credit for this, once achieved”.
